Cosmetic Dentistry

Complete preventive dentistry

Dr. Hubbard recommends twice-daily brushings, routine flossing and regular general and preventive care office visits to maintain a healthy mouth and a beautiful smile. At his practice, Dr. Hubbard combines the basics of general care, including cleanings, fluoride, breath control, and periodontal treatments with preventive technology, such as the Intraoral camera, to help keep your teeth and gums strong and disease free.

Patient Education

Dr. Hubbard believes that a healthy mouth starts with a healthy lifestyle, and a healthy lifestyle starts with education. That is why he constantly educates himself and his patients about the latest news in dentistry and health. A great place to find out more about dental health topics is the Dental Health Guide at http://www.caesyonline.com/dhg/index.cfm?userId=7142. And, remember, Dr. Hubbard is here to answer any questions you may have. Contact us today!

Intraoral camera

The intraoral camera is a revolutionary diagnostic dental tool that allows Dr. Hubbard to catch little problems before they become big, expensive ones. Dr. Hubbard inserts this tiny camera into your mouth to take pictures of the teeth and then displays the images on a computer screen, thus allowing him to pinpoint potential problem areas. He then uses this clear, accurate data to help formulate personalized treatment plans for you.

Cosmetic and restorative dentistry

Dr. Hubbard firmly believes that there is no reason to hide behind less than perfect teeth. Your teeth are one of your greatest assets, and Dr. Hubbard treats them that way. In fact, Dr. Hubbard's techniques have been published in Dentistry Today.

Dr. Hubbard treats a wide variety of cosmetic and restorative problems, including periodontal disease, discolored teeth, and gum recession. He'll even give you a preview of your beautiful new smile through digital video imaging.

Digital video imaging

With digital video imaging, you can see what your teeth would look like if you were to undergo a cosmetic dentistry procedure. First, Dr. Hubbard will take a photograph of your teeth as they are currently. He will then utilize the features of the digital video imaging technology to display an image of how your teeth would look should you opt for a particular procedure. This gives you the opportunity to compare before and after pictures and decide if the procedure will help you get the results you want.

And, if anxiety and discomfort caused by needles has deterred you from seeking a particular dental procedure in the past, fear no more. Dr. Hubbard has just the solution for you: the Wand.

The Wand

For discomfort caused by needles, Dr. Hubbard uses a computerized anesthesia delivery system called the Wand. The Wand consists of a tiny needle attached to a pen-shaped device. The pen delivers a drop of anesthesia to numb the injection site before the needle ever touches the gum. Then, as the needle slowly penetrates the gum, anesthesia continues to numb the area just ahead of it.

This way, you never feel any sudden prick or burning from the flow of anesthesia.

Cosmetic and Restorative Procedures

Please read on to familiarize yourself with the procedures we offer and begin to imagine the possibilities for creating a healthy, brilliant new smile. And, contact us today if you would like to set up a personal consultation.

Tooth-colored fillings

Traditional metal fillings made from silver and mercury are not just an eyesore. They may also fracture teeth and prove to be a health hazard. Tooth-colored fillings made of durable resin or porcelain, on the other hand, can be bonded to your teeth for a stronger, natural-looking effect. We can improve your smile and restore your tooth’s original strength and beauty. For more information regarding the advantages of tooth-colored fillings, please contact us today.

Natural-looking crowns and bridges

Crowns and bridges may be the best solution to replace or support missing or seriously damaged teeth. Dr. Hubbard places implants and porcelain bridges that fill in missing-tooth gaps with natural-looking artificial teeth. Dr. Hubbard also creates beautiful results with natural-looking crowns that conceal cracked, badly discolored, injured or chipped teeth. If you have questions about crowns and bridges or you would like to set up a consultation, please contact our practice today.

Porcelain veneers and bonding

Porcelain veneers and bonding are used to fill in spaces between teeth, mend chipped teeth, reshape crooked teeth, and hide unsightly stains and discolorations. To find out if porcelain veneers or bonding are right for you, please contact us today.

In-office and home whitening programs

Your smile is most striking when it is especially white, but unfortunately, soft drinks, coffee, tea, and tobacco can leave teeth with ugly stains. To help you restore your gleaming, bright smile and give you an added boost of confidence, Dr. Hubbard offers in-office and home whitening programs.

If you are looking for safe, fast, effective results, Dr. Hubbard is proud to offer the in-office Zoom! Whitening System. Zoom! Uses a combination of formulated lighting and hydrogen peroxide-based bleach to whiten teeth – typically six to 10 shades – in one brief office visit. With simple, regular home touch-ups and careful maintenance, a beautiful Zoom! Smile can last indefinitely.

We also offer a professionally guided home whitening program. With this more gradual whitening system, your teeth can become two shades whiter in just two weeks.

Non-surgical gum disease treatment

Periodontal (gum) disease is a serious problem that can lead to not only a less-than-beautiful smile, but also to loss of teeth and other health problems. Called gingivitis in its early stages, periodontal disease is caused by excessive toxic bacteria (found in plaque) that attach to your mouth’s soft tissues. If caught early, Dr. Hubbard can help you reverse the damage quickly. If you are having problems with your gums, don’t delay – contact us. We can help.

Custom-fit Dentures

Dr. Hubbard offers a wide range of denture options for patients who have lost some or all of their teeth. Dr. Hubbard will customize your dentures for a natural look and a comfortable fit.

Single-visit root canals

Each tooth contains a long, thin strand of dental pulp that extends down to the tooth’s root and provides the tooth with nutrients and nerves. If this pulp becomes infected or injured, the tooth’s nerves die. If left untreated, the entire tooth often dies as well. Root canals are designed to save such damaged teeth. During the root canal procedure (performed under anesthesia), Dr. Hubbard uses instruments to remove diseased pulp, and finally to seal the tooth with a natural-looking tooth colored crown. If you have been putting off a root canal or if you would just like more information on the procedure, please contact us today.
