"My visit was pleasant. I really like the technology and the ease with confirming appointments and providing feedback."

If you are looking for an alternative to dentures, Dr. Hubbard has just the solution for you! Dental Implants are a fantastic, freeing solution to traditional dentures because they feel, function, and look so much like natural teeth. Dental implants are also a great alternative to dental bridges. Unlike dental bridges, dental implants do not require the support of adjacent teeth. This eliminates the need for crowns on otherwise healthy neighboring teeth.
Traditionally, dental implants have consisted of small metal posts that are surgically placed in the jawbone. Once the posts are imbedded in the completely healed jawbone, another surgical procedure is performed to fasten a head on top of the post. Once the implants are in place, they are ready for an artificial tooth to be placed on top of each one.
In addition to this traditional dental implant procedure, Dr. Hubbard also offers his patients miniature, titanium implant technology when it is appropriate for their cases. With the help of Mini Implants, Dr. Hubbard can provide his patients with a natural-looking smile and a solid, secure, functional set of teeth without surgeries and extended healing periods.
If you do not require an entire denture set, are on a limited budget or in need of a rapid, interim solution to a complex dental treatment plan, Mini Implants may be the answer. Mini Implants are comprised of miniature self-tapping dental implants. Because they are so small, they do not require an incision for placement. Instead, Dr. Hubbard threads them directly to the bone through your gum tissue. This piece is held firm because of the elastic properties of the bone.
The upper portion of the implant is just like a standard-sized implant, with an area to protect the gums and a fixture head designed to secure and stabilize your new crown or artificial tooth.
If you need a traditional set of dentures but would like to give up the powders, creams and insecurity that comes with a less than perfect fit, the Denture Retentive System has the solution for you. With the Denture Retentive System, your denture is made as normal. Dr. Hubbard places four or more Denture Retentive implants in one office visit using just a few drops of local anesthesia. The denture is then retrofitted to snap into the mini implant retention heads. With some care, the Denture Retentive System will be ready for you to use immediately!
Directly following the procedure, you may feel a bit of discomfort and perhaps some minor bleeding. This is normal and will pass quickly. It is best to leave your dentures in all day and to eat a good yet conservative meal. You will have plenty of time to eat as you please in the weeks, months and years to follow.
Dr. Hubbard will ask that you follow his directions for keeping your mouth clean and healthy following the procedure. His assistants will instruct you on specific cleaning routines for both the fixtures and the dentures themselves. This will keep your dentures fitting properly and you smiling and eating your favorite foods with confidence!
